The challenge
Commercial insurance buyers are often looking for very specific coverage. They may need general liability, builders risk, commercial property, commercial auto, certificates of insurance, or help with specialty business insurance needs. The website needed to answer practical questions quickly: what types of business insurance are available, can I request a quote online, can I contact the agency quickly, does the agency serve my business type, are there clear service pages for specific coverage needs, and can Google crawl and understand the site structure?
First Commercial Insurance needed a stronger website foundation for commercial insurance visibility, quote requests, and local business trust. The previous online presence was not doing enough to support search visibility, indexability, service clarity, or conversion. For a commercial insurance agency, the website has to make it easy for business owners to understand coverage categories, request information, contact the agency, and find the right service path quickly.
The old website structure limited how well the agency could present its services and capture organic leads. The goal was to rebuild the site into a faster, more indexable, and more conversion-focused platform for commercial insurance searches.
Rebuilding a commercial insurance website into a stronger SEO and lead-generation asset
1WebsiteNow approached the engagement around four pillars: a service-page structure that mirrored how business owners actually search for insurance coverage, an indexability rebuild that fixed the foundation Google relies on, quote-path conversion that respected the friction-tolerance of commercial-insurance buyers, and a measurable target window that did not require speculative timelines.
The site sits inside our broader Finance & Insurance category, with secondary fits inside Business & Industrial for the B2B commercial audience and Professional Services for the agency-trust audience. The full hub-and-spoke pattern lives at /web-design-for/finance-insurance, /web-design-for/business-industrial, and /web-design-for/professional-services.
The technical SEO foundation behind the build is documented at /services/indexing-rescue. The local-SEO and GBP alignment patterns are documented at /services/local-seo and /services/google-business-profile-optimization. The brief from the start was direct: build something a contractor needing builders-risk coverage can navigate, a fleet operator can use to add a vehicle to a commercial auto policy, and a search engine can index cleanly across commercial-insurance intent.
What 1WebsiteNow built
1WebsiteNow rebuilt and strengthened the website around commercial insurance service intent, local SEO, and quote-path conversion. The site structure supports the key insurance paths business buyers actually search for, plus the operational forms (referral, helpful links, newsletter) that turn the website from a brochure into a working agency tool.
- — Commercial insurance positioning as the agency's primary service line
- — General liability service-page structure
- — Builders risk service-page structure
- — Commercial property service-page structure
- — Commercial auto service-page structure plus an "add vehicle to existing commercial auto policy" path for current customers
- — Quote forms surfaced cleanly on the relevant service pages
- — Contact form for general inquiries and agency contact
- — Referral path so existing clients and partners can refer a friend
- — Helpful Links and Newsletter resources surfaced as agency-trust signals
- — Location and agency trust signals (DeLand business location) where present on the public site
- — Improved crawlability — clean URL structure, semantic HTML, internal linking, sitemap-ready
- — Conversion-focused quote and contact paths so the next step from any service page is to request a quote or contact the agency
Results
The public case study is limited to the work that can be verified from the delivered site and repository material. Raw lead counts, revenue, customer data, policy data, claims data, private quote details, carrier agreement details, and unverified keyword lists are not surfaced. The rebuild improved service clarity, strengthened quote paths, and created a more crawlable commercial-insurance content structure.
- — Crawlable commercial-insurance service architecture and clearer quote paths
- — A clearer information architecture for commercial-insurance search intent
- — Indexability improvement across the rebuilt service-page structure
- — Stronger quote-path conversion across general liability, builders risk, commercial property, and commercial auto
- — Better internal linking between insurance services for search and customer experience
- — Clearer service-specific landing pages that match how business owners actually search
- — Improved crawlability — clean URL structure, semantic HTML, sitemap-ready
- — Local insurance visibility supported by the rebuilt structure
SEO and performance strategy

The project focused on the foundation search engines and visitors rely on: crawlability, service-page structure, metadata, internal linking, indexable content, shorter user paths, clearer quote and contact actions, and locally relevant insurance content. No numerical lead or ranking claim is published because durable supporting source material is not stored with this repository. The broader technical-SEO playbook used here is documented at /services/indexing-rescue and the local-SEO playbook at /services/local-seo.
Client quote
A pull quote from the First Commercial Insurance team is pending. We do not publish testimonials we have not received and confirmed in writing — and for commercial-insurance clients, additional scrutiny applies so no quote implies insurance advice, fake claim outcomes, fake conversion rates, fake carrier-relationship claims, or unverified keyword wins. This section will be filled in once an approved verbatim quote is on file. No quote, paraphrase, or invented sentiment will appear on this page until that approval is on file.
