Computer Outlet Online — Website Design and Public Experience
A guide-first technology site helping shoppers choose hardware before browsing product categories and the catalog.

Client snapshot
- — Responsive guide-led website
- — Buying guidance for laptops, desktops, custom PCs, and parts
- — Repair and technology-service content
- — Frequently asked questions and plain-language explanations
- — Clear handoff from research to the live product catalog
The challenge
Computer shoppers are often asked to choose from specifications before they know which specifications matter. A conventional category grid can make that uncertainty worse.
This owned site needed to begin with real buying questions, explain tradeoffs plainly, and still provide efficient routes to laptops, desktops, custom PCs, parts, repair, and the product catalog.
The approach
We built the information architecture around a guided decision sequence: start with the job the computer must do, identify the demanding workload, and then narrow the hardware path.
Editorial buying guidance, focused category pages, frequently asked questions, and a direct catalog action make education part of the conversion path instead of a separate content silo.
