Efird Surveying needed a reliable way to connect surveying jobs with accurate parcel and property information gathered from multiple Florida county systems.
County data differs significantly in format, identifier structure, address quality, geometry, acreage fields, and availability. The custom platform imports, normalises, reconciles, and displays official county property and GIS data while preventing uncertain matches from silently contaminating production records.
A parcel number in one county is not formatted like a parcel number in the next. Addresses vary in quality, geometry arrives in different shapes, and acreage and owner fields are not consistently present. Joining that together by hand is slow; joining it together carelessly is worse, because a confident wrong match attaches the wrong property to a real survey job.
The hard part was never fetching the data. It was deciding what to do when two official sources disagree.
Deterministic matching, with review as a first-class outcome.
The platform supports deterministic matching and controlled reconciliation rather than unrestricted automatic matching. It may use a result automatically only when the evidence supports a single defensible match.
Conflicting, incomplete, duplicate, or ambiguous records are routed for human review rather than being guessed. Refusing to answer is treated as a correct outcome, not a failure.
