GA4 Setup That Actually Measures Leads

Stop guessing. Track call clicks, form submits, CTA clicks, and UTM sources in GA4 — with Looker Studio dashboards that finally make sense.

(01) — The problem

Most GA4 Installs Measure Sessions, Not Money

Someone installed GA4 on your site. Great. You get pretty charts of 'sessions,' 'users,' and 'bounce rate.' What you do not get: which campaign drove the 12 phone calls last Tuesday, or which page submitted the 3 leads that closed for $15k.

Out-of-the-box GA4 does not track calls, form submits, CTA clicks, scroll depth, or UTM attribution. You have to set all of that up manually — and most installs never do it.

We set up GA4 the right way: every meaningful action tracked as an event, conversions flagged, UTM parameters captured, Looker Studio dashboards built — so every marketing dollar is traceable to a real business outcome.

What's costing you traffic
  • GA4 installed but no conversion events configured
  • Phone calls not tracked — you have no idea if the site drives calls
  • Form submits not logged as GA4 events
  • UTM parameters ignored, no source/medium attribution on leads
  • No Looker Studio dashboard — just confusing GA4 default reports
  • No audience segments for remarketing in Google Ads or Meta
What you get with 1WN

Our GA4 Setup Process

4 steps
  1. 01

    Tag Manager Install

Google Tag Manager installed site-wide (or direct GA4 tag if GTM is overkill). Data stream verified, GA4 property created if missing.

  2. 02

    Event & Conversion Setup

We configure call-click events, form-submit events, scroll events, CTA click events, and mark the right ones as conversions inside GA4.

  3. 03

    UTM & Attribution

UTM parameters captured into custom dimensions, preserved across sessions via localStorage, and tied to every conversion event.

  4. 04

    Dashboards & Training

Looker Studio dashboard built showing leads by channel, landing page, and campaign. 30-minute training session with your team included.

(03) — What's included

Engineered from day one.

01

Call Tracking

Every tap-to-call click tracked as a GA4 event with phone number and page as parameters.

02

Form Tracking

Form submits tracked with form ID, and validated against thank-you page fires to remove spam/false positives.

03

UTM Capture

UTM parameters preserved in localStorage + sent to GA4 so every lead has a source attribution.

04

Scroll & Engagement

25/50/75/100% scroll events + engagement-time custom events so thin-content pages surface.

05

Looker Studio

Custom dashboard showing leads, campaigns, landing pages, and trends — no GA4 gymnastics.

06

Ads Integration

GA4 linked to Google Ads and Meta for remarketing audiences and conversion import.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need GA4 if I already have the old Universal Analytics?
Universal Analytics stopped processing data in July 2023. GA4 is now the only supported Google Analytics. If you are on UA, your data is stale — we migrate you to GA4 cleanly.
Share this answer:
Can you track offline conversions too?
Yes. We can set up offline conversion imports — where closed deals from your CRM get matched back to the original click — so you see true ROI, not just form fills.
Share this answer:
How long does GA4 setup take?
Most setups complete in 3-7 business days. We build on staging if you have it, test every event with the GA4 DebugView, then push live and verify real traffic.
Share this answer:
Do you do this with Google Tag Manager or direct GA4 tag?
Both. GTM is best for sites with multiple tracking tools (Meta Pixel, call tracking, Hotjar). Direct GA4 tag is lighter and fine for simple sites. We recommend per your stack.
Share this answer:
Will this slow down my site?
No measurable impact on Core Web Vitals when installed correctly. We load GTM async, defer GA4 initialization, and keep the total page-weight impact under 20kb gzipped.
